As a Data Scientist / AI Engineer at Aya, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform by leveraging your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and software development. You'll be joining our team at an exciting time, getting in near the first floor as we continue to expand and make a difference in the lives of countless individuals.

Responsibilities:

Analyze historical claims data to identify patterns and trends that can be used for modeling and prediction.

Develop and implement machine learning models to adjudicate claims within the secondary authorization stream of Mastercard transactions using Golang and AWS.

Design and develop an adjudication engine that integrates the authorization stream with the machine learning models.

Continuously monitor and refine the models to ensure accurate and efficient claims processing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall claims management process and optimize various parts of the organization using AI tools.

Understand all aspects of the organization and identify areas where the implementation of AI can have the most significant impact.

Integrate AI solutions into the identified systems using relevant AI tools and technologies.

Document and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in data analysis, machine learning, and software development.

Experience with Golang, AWS, React, and React Native.

Familiarity with payment processing systems, preferably Mastercard transactions.

Proficient in using machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
